Malouk

Meet Malouk, a 12-year-old, 85 lb German Shepherd with a gentle soul and a loving heart, ready to offer quiet companionship. He came to us after a difficult transition in his life, and after not receiving the care he deserved, he was surrendered. Now, he's eager to find a safe and cherished home.

This sweet senior is blind, but his resilience shines through as he enjoys walks, naps, and plenty of treats. He occasionally shows a playful spark and thrives in a calm, low-key environment where he feels safe and settled. Malouk would be happy as an only pet, but he also coexists well with calm, respectful dogs and cats who understand his need for gentleness due to his blindness. He is friendly with people and has a soft spot for children, making him a wonderful presence in the right family.

Ongoing Health

Malouk is blind. He may experience some anxiety, which is well managed with calming medication and a consistent environment.

Training & Support

Malouk is potty trained but may mark indoors. Belly bands have been an effective solution. He will need continued leash training as he can pull, especially when excited or unsure. He finds comfort in his crate and does best when crated while alone.

Transporation

Malouk is located in Texas but can be adopted locally or out of state. We coordinate safe transport and offer video meet-and-greets to ensure it's the perfect fit.
