Meet Pop Tart, also known as Pup Tart! This 20-pound Staffordshire Terrier mix, with an estimated birthday of July 6, 2025, is a bundle of sweetness with a personality to match. Pop Tart absolutely adores snuggling and considers it his favorite activity, never missing a chance to cozy up on a lap. While he enjoys playtime and gets along wonderfully with dogs of all ages, cuddles always come first! He's a food-motivated pup who's already mastering "sit" and other commands, and he walks beautifully on a leash. Pop Tart also enjoys a good chew on his Benebones while relaxing with his foster mom. He was found as a stray and is far too sweet for street life. If you're looking for a wiggly, lovable companion, Pop Tart might be the perfect fit for your family!

- Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.
- Listed breed is based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.
- Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.
- All of our adopters are invited to join our Alum Pupdates Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs.
Transportation
Pop Tart is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee and may include pickup locations in nearby towns, counties, or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
