Daisy Sue is a 2-year-old, spayed female Pointer/Australian Cattle dog mix who weighs about 35 pounds. She's a joyful, playful, and sweet girl who was rescued from a euthanasia list after being returned to a shelter. Daisy, affectionately nicknamed "Dollop of Daisy," is a social butterfly with other dogs, enjoying romping, wrestling, and playing tug-of-war. She's done well with dogs of all sizes and genders and is wonderfully submissive, often rolling over to show her friendly intentions. This energetic pup would thrive in an active home with daily walks, playtime, or a securely fenced yard. Despite her energy, Daisy is a great work-from-home companion who happily snoozes nearby. She's house-trained, walks beautifully on leash, is crate-trained, and does not guard resources. Daisy is food-motivated, making training a breeze. She can be shy when meeting new people, especially men, and may bark or keep her distance initially. With patience and gentle encouragement, she warms up and reveals her affectionate, cuddly nature, enjoying evening couch snuggles. Because she's sensitive, Daisy would do best in a calm home with a predictable routine. She loves rope toys and chews on Benebones and Nylabones. Daisy has been known to gently "herd" her larger foster brother!
Ideal Home
Daisy would thrive in a home with another friendly dog for companionship (strongly preferred). An active lifestyle with regular exercise or a yard is ideal. She would do best with children 10 years or older who understand how to respect a shy dog. She can be left loose in the house when alone and is not destructive, though she does find shoes fascinating!
Ongoing Health
Daisy is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Daisy is fully house-trained and crate-trained. She walks beautifully on leash and is not reactive to dogs, runners, or people. She has no issues with resource guarding. She can be shy with new people, particularly men, and benefits from patience and gentle voices.
