Nona

Nona is a 1-year-old, 50 lb spayed female Staffie mix who is ready to bring her unique brand of joy and laughter into your home. She's currently in her "older puppy era," growing in confidence and learning to channel her abundant energy into being the best girl she can be. Nona is a sturdy, low-rider with a playful spirit and a love for adventure. She greets her foster mom with enthusiastic leaps and loves to zoom around the yard with her favorite toys.

Nona is a sweet and affectionate companion who enjoys being near her people. Her whole body wiggles with excitement, and her tail wags a mile a minute. She's socialized well, enjoying strolls and meeting new doggy pals and friendly strangers. She even did wonderfully when she met a young child recently. Nona can be a bit stubborn, which only adds to her charm. She's clever, loves to figure things out, and is highly motivated by toys and treats, making training enjoyable. She has mastered "sit" and is working on her leash manners. She enjoys walks of 2-3 miles and, while she may not love the car ride, she's a delightful companion once she arrives at her destination. Nona is fully crate trained and doing great with potty training. She can be a bit of a shy watchdog and will alert you to anything unfamiliar. Her adorable underbite makes her goofy expressions even cuter!

Ideal Home

Nona would do best in a home with a confident canine companion who is respectful and happy to share the spotlight. While she hasn't been around cats or children in a home setting, we believe she'd do well in a calm environment with respectful, well-mannered children who understand how to interact with an older puppy. She'd also be perfectly happy as your one-and-only, soaking up all your attention.

Ongoing Health

Nona is a healthy dog. Based on her age and breed mix, she is expected to fill out into a sturdy, medium-to-large-sized dog.

Training & Support

Nona is highly motivated by toys and treats, making training fun. She has mastered "sit" and is working on her leash manners and continuing to reinforce her potty training routine. She can get a little extra attached to a favorite toy, so a canine companion who respects personal space would be ideal.

Transporation

Nona is currently located in Texas. Adoption donations include transport to approved adopters.
