Venus is a 5-year-old, approximately 45 lb spayed female Staffordshire Terrier/Lab mix who is as sweet as she is beautiful. She's a calm and affectionate girl who loves to rest her head on your lap and gaze at you with adoration. Venus is happy to match your energy, whether you want to relax on the couch or go on an outdoor adventure.
She enjoys playing with other dogs and especially loves backyard zoomies with a canine companion. Venus also adores toys and playing with her humans, and she has a special love for water! If there's a kiddie pool or a stream on a trail, she'll happily splash around. She's also a great car rider, making her the perfect travel buddy for road trips, park visits, or trail days.
Ideal Home
Venus would do best in a home without cats, or one with very dog-savvy cats, as she shows a strong interest in chasing them. While she hasn't met young children, her foster believes she could do well with older, respectful children who understand boundaries. Venus would thrive in a home where she's truly part of the family.

Training & Support
Venus is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and trustworthy when left loose in the house. She is still working on leash manners, as she can pull, but she is learning quickly and is very food motivated. She eats with enthusiasm and does best when fed separately using a slow feeder to prevent her from sneaking other dogs' food.

Transportation
Venus is currently being fostered in Woodinville, WA and is available for meet-and-greets with local adopters. For those outside of Washington, out-of-state adoption is possible once an approved adopter is lined up.
