Dottie

Dottie is a 4-year-old, 62-pound bundle of joy looking for her forever family! She's a playful and loving girl who also happens to be a champion cuddle bug. Dottie enjoys a good romp in the yard with her favorite rope toys and stuffies, and she's always up for a game of tug-o-war. When it's time to relax, she's happiest snuggling up with her favorite humans. Dottie is incredibly smart and food-motivated, making her a quick learner when it comes to training. Her goofy personality and zest for life are sure to bring endless smiles and laughter to her new home.

Ideal Home

Dottie would thrive in a moderately active home where she can get at least one good walk or play session a day. She does best with one or two calm, larger dogs, or would be equally happy as the only pet in the household. Dottie would do best in a home without young males or boys, as she has had negative experiences with them. She is excellent when meeting women.

Ongoing Health

Dottie is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed.

Training & Support

Dottie is fully potty trained and crate trained. While she can be left to free roam and does well, she may whine initially before settling down. She is leash-trained but will pull and bark when she sees other dogs. Positive reinforcement and patience will be key in helping her feel more comfortable around other dogs on walks.

Dottie is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is available for virtual meet & greets. She is eligible for transport to an adopter once a match is made.
