Meet Rufus, a charming 2-year-old, 22lb Cockapoo/Shih Tzu mix! This smart, sweet, and spirited boy is ready to be your star. Rufus was found as a stray in Texas, a fluffy, scruffy fellow with a big heart and a tail that wagged even when he was a mess. Now cleaned up and safe, Rufus is showing his true colors: joyful, clever, and incredibly affectionate. He's the perfect "pick me up" size, weighing in at 22lbs, and he absolutely adores belly rubs!

Ideal Home

Rufus is a happy boy who loves to play, so he would thrive in a home with another playful dog. However, he would also be content as an only dog with active humans who can keep up with his enthusiasm. Due to his exuberant nature, Rufus is best suited for a home without children under the age of 10.

Ongoing Health

Rufus is completely vetted and ready to go! He has been neutered, microchipped, is heartworm negative, and is up to date on all his vaccines.

Training & Support

Rufus is a smart pup who knows "sit" and comes when called. He's crate trained and house-trained, provided he's kept on a consistent schedule. He's eager to please and learns quickly because he cares. Rufus can be a bit exuberant, so he'll benefit from continued positive reinforcement as he settles into his new home.
