Hi there! I’m Onyx Otto, a charming 11⁄2-year-old Maltipoo/Yorkie mix with a heart full of love to give. I’m at that wonderful age where I’m still playful, curious, and full of energy, but I’m also maturing into an amazing companion. I’m ready to zoom into your life and make every day a little brighter!
I’m potty trained, crate trained, leash trained, and I love car rides. Like many dogs adjusting to a new home, I had a couple of accidents on my first day in a new environment, but once I settled into a routine of regular walks outside, I did great. I enjoy getting out for walks and happily do my business outdoors.
I absolutely adore people—adults, kids, and just about everyone I meet. I’m also very social with other dogs, both big and small. My favorite thing in the world is playing fetch, chasing balls, and zooming around the house with my toys. When I’ve burned off my energy, I’m more than happy to curl up beside you for cuddles.
I have a few endearing little quirks that make me, well... me! When I get excited, I bounce around like a little pogo stick and can jump surprisingly high for such a small guy. I also believe there’s no such thing as too many kisses, so expect lots of happy face kisses throughout the day if you’re my favorite person.
As I become comfortable in my home, I can be a good little watchdog. If someone unexpectedly walks into the room, I may let out a few loud barks to let everyone know I’ve noticed. Once I realize everything is okay and I’ve had a chance to check things out, I settle down quickly.
Like many young dogs, I sometimes get a little mouthy during play and may do some playful puppy nipping when I’m excited. I’m easily redirected with a chew toy or by changing the game, and I respond well to gentle guidance. Because of this, it would be best for young children to be supervised during playtime until I continue to outgrow this puppy habit.
If you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts playful adventurer and affectionate cuddle bug, I might be your perfect match. I have enough energy to keep an active family smiling, but I’m also perfectly content relaxing by your side after a fun day. I love toys, I love people, and I can’t wait to find a forever family who will love me for the happy, goofy, affectionate little guy I am.
