About Dolly

Meet Dolly!

Dolly is a 5-year-old Golden Retriever/Great Pyrenees mix, weighing around 70 pounds. She is truly one of the sweetest souls you could ever meet, and she was once a registered emotional support animal. Dolly was surrendered because her family claimed they "no longer had time for her," which is hard to understand given the endless comfort, loyalty, and love she provided. Despite her heartbreaking past, Dolly hasn't let it change her loving nature.

This beautiful girl absolutely adores people and attention. She will gently hop up to wrap her paws around you in a soft, sweet embrace. Dolly loves being pampered, brushed, pet, and loved on, and she'll happily roll over for belly rubs while soaking up every second of affection. She's a lower-energy girl who walks wonderfully on a leash, preferring a slower pace to enjoy the world around her. Dolly gets along great with other dogs, especially calmer companions, and has also done well with cats and children. Dolly just loves everyone she meets!

Ideal Home

Dolly's ideal forever home is one fully committed to loving her for the rest of her days. She would love a home with a yard where she can peacefully roam and relax. Apartment living is not her ideal fit. Because she thrives on companionship, she would do best with someone who is home more often than not, as she will whine and cry when left alone due to her big feelings for the people she loves.

Training & Support

Dolly is not a fan of kennels but does beautifully outside of them. She is trustworthy in the home and not destructive, and can safely be left loose when alone. Her past experience as an emotional support animal highlights her capacity for deep connection and comfort.
