Meet River! This energetic 8-month-old German Shepherd/Labrador mix is a fun-loving and affectionate pup looking for his forever family. River is crate and mostly potty trained, and he's happy to sleep in a dog bed or snuggle with his foster. He enjoys playing and is great at entertaining himself with toys, but he's happiest when he has a friend for a game of tug-of-war. He'll need sturdy toys, as he's a talented toy destroyer, and he especially loves Nylabones. River is friendly and does well meeting new people and other dogs. He might give a few alert barks when someone new arrives, but he warms up quickly. He enjoys his walks and exploring, though he's still working on his leash manners and can be a strong puller. Like many puppies, River can be a little mouthy during play and may sneak in a few playful nibbles, but he more than makes up for it with endless kisses and affection.
