Caramel is spirited, affectionate, and heartbreakingly loyal. She was found wandering a dirt road with her mother, Oreo, and their bond helped them survive. Sadly, Oreo has gone after Caramel, making it unsafe for them to remain together. Caramel is estimated to be around 2 years old and is a strong-willed, high-energy young adult who thrives with structure and purpose. She is reserved at first but warms with time, especially when trust is built slowly. Once she feels secure, she becomes deeply affectionate, enjoys hand-feeding, seeks out scratches, and loves human attention.
Ideal Home
Caramel does best in a calm, experienced home with clear boundaries and confident leadership. She has not been exposed to children and would not be a good fit for homes with small children or elderly pets. She can be sensitive to new situations and needs patience as she settles.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions are mentioned.
Training & Support
Caramel is still learning important life skills, including leash walking and potty training, and she will need an experienced handler familiar with behavior modification and positive, structured training. She must be the only dog, as she does not enjoy being around other dogs, can become reactive, and has shown strong resource guarding behaviors. She also has an extreme prey drive and is not suitable for homes with cats or small animals.
