Waylon is a 65 lb, neutered male Staffie mix, a little over a year old. He's a big, goofy, and incredibly lovable dog who often forgets his own size, approaching life with the enthusiastic abandon of a much smaller pup. Waylon is a delightful blend of playful, curious, and affectionately silly. While not overly clingy, he loves being around his people and bounces through life with a joyful, slightly goofy energy that is utterly endearing.
His greatest passion? Tennis balls! Waylon worships them and can happily spend hours chasing, carrying, or proudly displaying his prized possession. He has a moderate energy level and enjoys playtime and activity, making him a great match for an active home that can help him channel his playful enthusiasm. Once he's had a good run, he settles down nicely and becomes a calm companion.
Waylon gets along well with other dogs and enjoys high-energy play, especially with canine friends his size (he's mostly interacted with dogs over 50 lbs). He's generally good at reading play cues and knows when other dogs need a break. On walks, he might offer a curious stare or a small "boof" when he sees other dogs, but he's friendly and interested in meeting them. While he doesn't require another dog in the home, he would certainly appreciate a playful canine sibling. He has also been around children of all ages and has done well with them, though an active family that understands large, goofy dogs will be the best fit.
Waylon is house-trained and sleeps well in his crate, typically from about 10 PM to 6 AM. He rides well in the car and has no issues with food, toys, or resource guarding. Waylon is friendly with strangers, though he may greet new people with a curious little "boof" before warming up.
