Princess Leia

Princess Leia is a beautiful, sleek 15-month-old girl with floppy ears and the sweetest amber eyes. She's a blend of Labrador Retriever, American Pitbull Terrier, and German Shepherd, with a touch of white on her chest. Leia and her brother Luke were found wandering the streets, surviving on their own for three weeks before being rescued. She's a quick learner, already mastering "sit" faster than her brother, and has a very sweet disposition. Leia loves to dig, chew, play hard, and then sunbathe. She absolutely adores pets and belly rubs.

Ideal Home

Leia would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where she can play and a cool spot to nap. She would also benefit from having a canine companion, as she's grown accustomed to relying on other dogs for comfort.

Ongoing Health

Leia is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations. She is also heartworm negative. She does experience motion sickness in the car, and we are still working on finding the best solution for her.

Training & Support

Leia is potty trained and will sometimes ring the doorbells to let you know she needs to go out. She is also crate trained for naps and nighttime. She is responding well to separation from her sibling and can be a little timid if she's not receiving attention, but she's not afraid to play or go for walks. She responds to a "dog whistle" if playtime gets too rough.

Leia is currently being fostered in Houston, TX and transport is available out of state, preferably to northern states.
