Zac is a handsome 5-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix, weighing around 60 pounds. He was rescued from a local shelter after being found to need FHO surgery on a back leg, which he has since recovered from beautifully. Zac is now healed, off all medication, and ready to find his forever family! He's a wonderful mix of playful energy and calm companionship, enjoying both playtime with other dogs and relaxing cuddles with his favorite people. Zac is house-trained, crate-trained, and gets along well with dogs of all sizes. He's calm on walks and doesn't react to other dogs. Indoors, he's a low-energy boy who loves to be near his humans, soaking up affection and engaging in "conversations" especially around meal times. He enjoys toys and treats and has shown no signs of resource guarding. While he hasn't lived with young children, he's generally good with new people and is becoming more comfortable with car rides. Zac's biggest desire is companionship and he thrives when he has people or other dogs around. He is looking for a devoted companion who will shower him with love and he promises to return the favor with unwavering loyalty and endless cuddles.
Ideal Home
Zac would thrive in a home where he won't spend long periods alone. He is happiest when he has canine companions or people nearby to share his life with.
Ongoing Health
Zac had FHO surgery on a back leg and has made a full recovery. No further medical intervention or medication is needed.
Training & Support
Zac is house-trained and crate-trained. He has been taught not to jump up on people when excited, but continued guidance in this area would be beneficial.
