Sandy Avalon The Girl with the Gentlest soul

Sandy is a dog with a soul so gentle, you'll fall in love the moment you meet her. Her eyes seem to look right into your heart, and her sweet nature is truly captivating. Sandy is a bit shy at first and takes some time to warm up to new people, but once she trusts you, she'll be your most loyal companion. She shows her affection with subtle leans and tiny steps closer, a quiet declaration of her love. She has so much love to give and is eager to share it with her forever family.

Ideal Home

Sandy thrives in a calm environment and needs a home with at least one other dog to help build her confidence. A secure, fenced yard is a must for her to safely explore. Due to her skittishness with sudden movements, she would do best in a home with older, respectful children who understand her need for space.

Ongoing Health

Sandy is up-to-date on all her vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, and has been spayed. She is also current on flea prevention and receives a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. She has tested negative for heartworms.

Training & Support

Sandy is fully crate trained and a perfect 100% potty-trained pup, with no accidents in foster care. She is wonderfully non-reactive on walks, remaining calm around squirrels, bunnies, and other distractions. She enjoys leisurely strolls and short car rides. While not treat-motivated, she can't resist Colby Jack cheese, which is useful for administering her monthly flea medication. She is also very quiet and rarely barks.

Transportation

Sandy is located in the Greater Houston area. Texas adopters must pick up from our Houston facility. Transportation to other states may be available for an additional surcharge.
