Boomer

Boomer is a charming 7-year-old, 34-pound beagle mix with a heart full of love and a nose for adventure! He arrived at VBACAC with his best friend, Scooby, through no fault of their own. Boomer is an energetic boy who absolutely loves to sniff out new scents, especially on the trails. He's a smart cookie, too, and sits nicely for treats. When he's not exploring, Boomer enjoys snuggling up and is known for being affectionate and laid-back, especially when he's getting belly rubs! He's also quite the helper, with a knack for finding lost items!

Ideal Home

Boomer would do well in a home with kids and other pets, including cats. While he's house-trained, he may have occasional accidents if left alone for too long. He's not used to walks but enjoys them at the shelter, so he'd likely love exploring new paths with his forever family. He can be a bit anxious during car rides, so some patience and practice will help him get comfortable.

Boomer is neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Boomer is house-trained but may have accidents if left alone for extended periods. He's also not a fan of car rides, so consistent, positive reinforcement will be key to helping him overcome this. He's also been observed digging in the yard, so providing him with appropriate outlets for this behavior will be beneficial.
