Canela is a sweet Dachshund/Chihuahua mix who is a senior female. Despite a difficult past in a backyard breeding operation in Puerto Rico, Canela's spirit is full of sweetness. She adores belly rubs, gentle affection, and will happily accept any treat offered. Now that she's safe in rescue, Canela is thriving. She gets along wonderfully with the large group of dogs she lives with, but her greatest joy comes from connecting with people. She loves forming special bonds and is also content to entertain herself with toys or snuggle up beside you.

Canela would love a home where she can be a cherished couch potato companion, receiving plenty of gentle affection and tasty treats.
