About Princess Leia

Princess Leia is a approximately 15-month-old mix of Labrador Retriever, American Pit Bull Terrier, and German Shepherd. She has a sleek coat with a touch of white on her chest and the most endearing amber eyes. Leia and her brother, Luke, were found together, struggling to survive on the streets of Houston for three weeks. They were hungry, thirsty, and lacked proper veterinary care. After being rescued, Leia underwent immediate spaying due to being in heat. She has bonded closely with her brother, but with some gentle encouragement, she's learning to be more independent.

Ideal Home

Princess Leia would thrive in a home with at least one canine companion, as she's always had a furry friend by her side. A yard for her to play in and a comfy spot to relax would be wonderful. She enjoys digging, chewing, and playing hard, followed by some quality sunbathing.

Ongoing Health

Leia is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations. She is also heartworm negative. She does experience motion sickness in the car.

Training & Support

Princess Leia is potty trained and will sometimes signal her needs by ringing a door bell. She is crate trained for naps and overnight. She is not food aggressive, learns very quickly, and responds well to a "dog whistle" for redirection during play.
