Looking for a dog who can keep up with your adventures and impress you with his intelligence? Meet Shadow! Shadow is a 2-year-old mixed-breed superstar, with a DNA test confirming that his top breeds are American Pit Bull Terrier and Australian Cattle Dog. That combination gives him the perfect blend of loyalty, athleticism, intelligence, and drive. This handsome guy is a graduate of the Pups 4 Parole program, has earned his Canine Good Citizen title, and has completed intermediate obedience and brain games classes. He knows a long list of commands and tricks and absolutely loves learning new things. Shadow thrives when he has a job to do and would excel in activities like agility, scent work, hiking, running, or advanced training. He's crate trained, potty trained, and enjoys spending time with people. Shadow does well with other dogs and loves doggy daycare, but he can be protective of toys and bones, so those should be managed appropriately around canine companions. He would be happy as an only dog or with a compatible dog friend.
Ideal Home
Shadow would do best in a home with middle school-aged children and older. A home with older children is recommended. An active family who enjoys outdoor adventures and is excited to continue helping this smart boy reach his full potential is ideal. A fenced yard is a bonus, no apartments. Daily exercise and mental enrichment are a must.
Ongoing Health
Shadow's adoption fee is $150 and includes his spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip.
Training & Support
Shadow is crate trained and potty trained. He is protective of toys and bones, which should be managed appropriately around canine companions. He has completed intermediate obedience and brain games classes and knows many commands and tricks.
