Jillian (MALE)

Jillian is a sweet and gentle male dog who recently joined us from Bartow County, GA. He was rescued on August 11th, a date that holds special significance for our rescue founder, Robert Williams, whose birthday it is. Tragically, on that same day, Jillian was scheduled to be euthanized. His owner was incarcerated with an uncertain release date and was also battling terminal pancreatic cancer. Sadly, no family members came forward for Jillian, despite knowing his fate. The parallels were too profound to ignore – on Robert’s birthday, with a dog owner facing the same disease that took his life and no one to care for his beloved pet, we knew we had to step in. We're told Jillian was his owner’s entire world, and we're so glad we could rescue him just in time. He's now safe and under our care. A big thank you to Julie for her advocacy for Jillian and so many other dogs! Jillian is understandably a bit confused, but he gets along well with other dogs and loves people. We are currently evaluating him further and he will be available for adoption after his full vetting is complete.

Ideal Home

We are seeking a loving forever home for Jillian. We are also looking for a foster home for him in New Jersey.

Training & Support

Jillian is a gentle soul who is adjusting to his new surroundings. We're told he gets along well with other dogs and loves people. We are continuing to evaluate his behavior and needs.
