Lex is the epitome of a good time! She's a bouncy, playful dog who is loving of everyone and excited to make new friends, whether they have two legs or four. Lex is a Pitbull Cattle Dog mix, weighing in at 56lbs of pure happiness. She has beautiful cattle spotting and super cute pointed ears that add to her charm. Lex is the queen of zoomies, kisses, and tug-of-war. When she first met her foster, she ran up with a wagging tail and a huge smile, instantly showering everyone with affection. She plays hard with other dogs and is great at reading their vibes, often enjoying longer play sessions with confident female dogs. While she enjoys playing with both males and females, she seems to have a slight preference for the ladies.
Ideal Home
Lex is a high-energy girl who needs a home with a yard and an active owner who is familiar with the drive and energy of cattle dogs. She would likely do well in a home with confident dogs of either gender, but be prepared for a lot of playtime! Lex has not been kid-tested, but given her loving nature, we believe she would adore children, especially older kids who can handle her enthusiastic play style. Cats are a definite no for Lex, as her excitement could be too much for feline friends.

Training & Support
Lex's leash skills are still a work in progress. She can pull a bit when she's eager to meet new people, but she's a smart dog who will train well with consistency.

- The adoption fee is $1200 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship.

Transportation
Lex is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Transport drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track your pet's journey in real time. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
