Meet Goose!
Goose is a spirited three-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix with speckled tan and white fur and a face full of expression. She's 55 pounds of brains, goofiness, and affection! Goose is incredibly curious and energetic, truly embodying her working-dog heritage. She thrives when she has plenty of space to roam, explore, and play. Her happiest moments are spent in open areas, especially with other dogs, whether at doggy daycare, on group hikes, or at her favorite 17-acre off-leash dog park. In the evenings, Goose transforms into a snugglebug, ready to curl up beside you.
Ideal Home
Goose would thrive in a rural or countryside home with a large, securely fenced yard. She would do best with another friendly dog or two and a guardian who understands the needs of sensitive, reactive pups. Goose is good with older children, but due to her tendency to get jumpy and mouthy when excited, a home without young children is best. She has a high prey drive and tends to chase cats, squirrels, and birds, but has shown that she can coexist peacefully with farm cats and chickens in the right environment with a consistent routine.
Ongoing Health
Goose is vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Goose has completed formal training and knows a variety of commands, including "sit," "come," "leave it," "touch," and "place." She has excellent recall and is eager to please, especially with treats. However, she is sensitive to certain city life triggers like scooters, skateboards, and sudden movements. She has been reactive when startled by things like people with assistive devices or rolling luggage. She is also crate trained and house-trained.
