Marlena is a spayed female, approximately 3 years old and weighing around 50lbs. She's a bundle of energetic joy with velvety black fur that's as soft as a rabbit's! Marlena knows her name and comes when called, and her favorite place is right in your lap for cuddles. She has a unique and endearing smile due to a misaligned jaw, a result of trauma or a birth defect, which gives her a distinctive and lovable appearance without any health issues.
Ideal Home
Marlena would thrive in a home where she can receive plenty of attention and playtime. She is dog-friendly but may not get along with all dogs due to her high energy levels and enthusiastic greetings. She loves puppies and younger dogs. Marlena has a high prey drive and is not suited for homes with cats.
Ongoing Health
Marlena is healthy and requires no special medical care. Her misaligned jaw is purely cosmetic and does not affect her health. She is microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, and on Simparica Trio heartworm/flea/tick preventative. She will receive a vet exam, negative fecal test, and health certificate for travel.
Training & Support
Marlena is a smart girl who knows her name and responds when called. As she is very energetic, continued positive reinforcement training and opportunities for her to expend her energy will be beneficial.

Transporation
Marlena is located with our rescue partners and can be transported to the New England area. We can discuss transport options and find a stop near you. We offer video chat calls to help you get to know our rescues before applying.
