Chewy

Chewy is a very sweet and energetic boy who loves to play! He is estimated to be around 4 years old. He came to us with Gamora, but it is unknown how he does with other dogs. He would love to go to a home with Gamora, but it is not a requirement. Chewy does great with people and loves attention! He has not done too great with other animals and will need to go to a home with NO cats or small animals!! His biggest weakness is stuffy toys with squeakers. He loves them so much that he will need to be supervised around them, because he will destroy them in seconds!

Ideal Home

Chewy would do great with kids that respect his boundaries and would make the best family dog! He will need to go to a home with NO cats or small animals.

Ongoing Health

Chewy has had a couple surgeries since being at the shelter. He had a hernia repaired and had to have his tail amputated due to a condition called "happy tail." He is now neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Chewy appears to be housetrained and knows most basic commands. He is a hard puller on the leash and will need someone who can manage his strength and give him the proper training he needs. He will need to be supervised around squeaky toys, as he will destroy them quickly.
