Luther is a sweet, silly, 1-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix who's brimming with energy and love! He's a bouncy pup with floppy ears and a playful spirit, ready to find a forever home where he can share his zoomies and his snuggles. Luther enjoys interactive play like fetch and tug, and a good walk or a few minutes of fetch usually helps him settle down nicely. While he has a happy puppy energy, he also knows how to relax once his exercise needs are met. He's affectionate, loves attention, and melts for belly scratches. When meeting new people, he might be a little shy at first but warms up quickly with gentle reassurance.
Ideal Home
Luther would thrive in an active home that can provide him with regular exercise and continued guidance. A backyard would be a bonus for him to burn off energy, but daily walks and playtime are equally wonderful. He's adaptable and could do well in an apartment or a house. While he enjoys playing with other dogs and seems to prefer human interaction, if you don't have other dogs in the home, we'll want to discuss your plans for his socialization.

Training & Support
Luther is house-trained and has had no accidents since arriving in his foster home. He is crate-trained and settles down within a few minutes after an initial protest. He's still learning that not everything is a toy, so he's not yet ready to be left loose in the house unsupervised. While he walks well on leash with another dog, he can be a bit barky when seeing other dogs. This is something that can improve with continued training.

Transporation
Luther is currently in Houston, Texas. He can be transported to an adopter once approved. Transports run every few weeks.
