Emilio (20260626-02)

Emilio is a handsome cream-colored Lab mix with a heart as big as his smile, estimated to be around 8 months old and weighing 31-40 lbs. He was rescued as a three-month-old puppy from the streets of Mexico, where he was found alone and hungry. Now, this gentle companion adores people and greets everyone with kindness and affection, always eager for a cuddle and attention. He's wonderfully social with other dogs and would enjoy a canine friend, though he's also happy to be the center of attention. Cats are still a mystery to him, as he has not been tested. Emilio is house trained, walks beautifully on a leash, rides calmly in the car, and isn't reactive to people or other dogs. He's not a barker, not food aggressive, and has no destructive habits. Give him a toy or even a plastic bottle, and he's entertained for hours! With his medium energy level, he enjoys playtime and walks but also loves to relax beside his humans. He's currently doing well with crate training.

Ideal Home

A home with a yard would be wonderful for Emilio, but with regular exercise and plenty of love, he could also adapt to apartment living. He would preferably have a canine friend to play with, but he is also happy to be the only dog.

Ongoing Health

Emilio is up-to-date on his vaccinations and has been spayed/neutered.

Training & Support

Emilio is house-trained, walks well on a leash, and rides calmly in the car. He is not reactive to people or other dogs, is not a barker, and is not food aggressive. He has no destructive habits. He is currently working on his crate training and is doing well.

Transporation

Emilio is currently located in Mexico and will travel to the Niagara Region once an appropriate adopter is found.
