Meet Rio!

Rio is a delightful 1-year-old, 19lb Chihuahua and Dachshund mix who has so much affection to share. He might be a little reserved at first, but with a little patience and a tasty treat, his sweet and devoted nature will quickly emerge. He enjoys snuggling in blankets and will often peek around corners just to see you, melting your heart with his playful antics.

Ideal Home

Rio would thrive in a calm home environment where he can feel safe and secure. He would do best in a home without young children. A securely fenced yard is ideal to help him continue building confidence with leash walking.

Ongoing Health

Rio is a healthy boy with no known ongoing health concerns.

Training & Support

Rio is potty trained and crate trained, and we hope his new home can provide him with 24/7 crate access, as he loves his crate and uses it as his safe space. He is still working on his leash manners and would benefit from an adopter who can patiently guide him in building confidence while walking.
