About Groot

Groot is the Head of the Welcome Committee and the Self-Appointed Assistant Manager of your household! This 45-pound, long-legged goober has convinced himself that there are important jobs to be done and he's the one to do them. Whether you're making breakfast or checking the mail, Groot is right there, ready to supervise and offer his assistance. He's a delightful mix of backyard explorer, quality control specialist, and morale officer, all rolled into one charming package.

Groot's most striking feature is his enormous ears, which are always on alert, picking up sounds from miles away. He'll often give you a knowing look, as if to say, "Don't worry, I've got this handled." He absolutely adores the outdoors, spending his time running, exploring, and ensuring all squirrels are in compliance with neighborhood regulations. He has a keen investigative nature, but can quickly abandon his "duties" for a good game of zoomies when another dog gets the energy!

His favorite part of the job is greeting other dogs. Watching Groot meet a new canine friend is pure joy – it's an instant connection, brimming with excitement and the unspoken agreement to have an amazing time together. He truly thrives with canine companionship, and we believe he would be happiest in a home with another playful dog. Having a wrestling buddy, a partner in exploration, and a furry friend to snuggle with after a long day is where Groot shines brightest.

Despite his important "positions," Groot is a dog of impeccable manners. He is fully house-trained and crate-trained, and he already knows commands such as sit, lay down, give paw, "go eat," "go outside," and "go for a walk." He's a quick learner who responds well to praise and genuinely wants to make his people proud. One of Groot's most endearing habits is to proudly bring you a toy and gently place it in your lap, not because he's asked, but simply because he thought you should have it. He is sweet without being clingy, playful without being chaotic, and funny without even realizing it. Groot is the kind of dog whose personality slowly but surely wraps around your life, becoming an indispensable part of your daily routine. He'll start as your Assistant Manager, but soon, he'll be the reason you smile when you pull into the driveway, the reason your house feels full, and the best friend you never knew you were missing.
