Meet Grace! This bubbly and sweet young girl is ready for her new leash on life after a very rough start. She was rescued as a stray after raising her babies under a fallen tree during the Texas summer heat. Thankfully, a kind street dog feeder noticed Grace and her pups and brought them to the rescue. It didn't take long for Grace to make friends with both humans and other dogs at the rescue, capturing hearts with her playful spirit. She absolutely loves squeaky toys, cuddling with her furry friends, and enjoying zoomies in the courtyard.
While she might resemble a Vizsla/Staffy/Bully mix, Grace has some strong herding instincts! She thrives on being around people and prefers to be part of a group, showering everyone with affection. She might even try to "herd" those who wander off! Grace would do best in a home with experienced owners who understand herding dog breeds.

- Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
- Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.
- Listed breed is based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.
- Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.
- All of our adopters are invited to join our Alum Pupdates Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!

Grace is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee! Pick-up locations may vary, including in a nearby state.
