Meet Drax, a charming and affectionate 70 lb American Cattle Dog mix with a heart as big as his personality! This handsome boy has been waiting far too long for his forever family and is currently our longest-staying "Underdog." Drax greets everyone with enthusiastic tail wags, slobbery kisses, and a signature smile that will melt your heart. He's spent years watching other dogs find their homes and is more than ready to claim his own couch and a family to love.

Ideal Home

Drax wants to be the center of attention and would thrive in a home where he is the only pet. He truly believes laps are for sitting, regardless of his size, and wants to be right next to his humans. He would do best with a family that is home often, as he is so devoted to his people.

Ongoing Health

No specific health conditions are mentioned, but Drax is a gentleman who walks beautifully on a leash and handles himself perfectly in public settings, even around other dogs. He also rides perfectly in the car, making him an ideal co-pilot.

Training & Support

While crates are not Drax's favorite right now, he is capable of adjusting with proper routine and training. To help him transition smoothly, the rescue will provide a complimentary heavy-duty crate.
