Victoria

Victoria is a approximately 5-year-old, 48 lb female Husky mix with a heart full of love and gratitude. She was rescued from the streets of Saltillo, Mexico, where she was found hungry, tired, and thirsty. Despite a difficult start, Victoria is now healthy, confident, and incredibly loving. She's playful, enjoys cuddles, and has a beautiful smile.

Ideal Home

Victoria would thrive in a home with homeowners who have a fenced backyard. Active families who enjoy outdoor activities like hiking and long walks would be a great fit. She needs a family with an open mind about the needs of rescued animals, experience in dog behavior and training, and high tolerance and patience. Victoria is NOT house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Victoria was rescued with severe malnutrition, which resulted in the loss of almost all her teeth, with only three molars remaining. She is up-to-date on her vaccinations, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She has been spayed, dewormed, and tested negative for heartworm. She is on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Victoria is crate and leash trained. However, she is not house-trained. She needs to eat in a confined space to prevent food-related conflicts with other pets. Her new family should be prepared to provide consistent training and positive reinforcement.

Transporation

Victoria is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. She is ready to travel to the East Coast of the United States on a cross-country trip if adopted. Transportation is available to the adopter's home address for a fee.
