Izzy

Meet Izzy, a brave and joyful young female Terrier mix who is a true survivor! Izzy came to us after a severe leg injury, which sadly led to an amputation. But don't let her tripod status fool you – Izzy approaches life with a wagging tail and an incredibly bright spirit. She's adapting beautifully to life on three legs and shows amazing resilience. Izzy has also begun treatment for heartworm, which requires several weeks of restricted activity.

Ideal Home

Izzy is looking for a loving adopter who sees past her missing leg and recognizes the incredible dog she is. Due to her ongoing heartworm treatment, her adopter will need to live locally to accommodate follow-up appointments.

Ongoing Health

Izzy is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, which requires several weeks of restricted activity. She has also had an amputation of her front leg.

Training & Support

Izzy is house-trained. She is learning to navigate life on three legs and is adapting beautifully.
