June Bug

Meet June Bug, a resilient and loving 4-year-old, 7-pound Chihuahua. She came to us as a stray, already having faced significant challenges. Sadly, both of her eyes had to be removed, leaving her completely blind. But June Bug is a true testament to the power of the spirit! She navigates her world with incredible bravery and curiosity, quickly learning her surroundings and moving with confidence once she feels safe. She may not see, but she feels the world deeply, especially when she's curled up on your lap, soaking in all the love. She's affectionate, gentle, smart, and enjoys her independence, but also loves a good cuddle session on the couch. June Bug is very social with new people and greets everyone with sweetness and trust. She also lives peacefully with both dogs and cats.

Ideal Home

June Bug would thrive in a quiet home with a securely fenced yard. Because she is completely blind, she needs a patient and understanding adopter who will give her time to learn her new surroundings and feel safe. She cannot go to a home with young children, as a calm and predictable environment is very important for her well-being.

Ongoing Health

June Bug is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped. She is on preventative flea/tick and heartworm medication.

Training & Support

June Bug is crate trained and mostly potty trained with only occasional accidents. She responds well to gentle verbal correction and is eager to please.
