Misty is a 2-year-old, 55-pound Great Pyrenees mix with a heart as soft as her fluffy coat. She’s on the quiet, shy side, but once she decides you’re in the club, she’s all sweetness. This is the kind of dog who will coexist politely with cats and make friends with other dogs without a fuss. She is probably best with kids past the screeching years. Misty’s perfect home is one with a fenced yard (this is a non-negotiable) and a family who understands that quiet dogs are often the very best kind. She will thrive with kindness, patience, and a little time to bloom. A sofa to crash on is a bonus. Ongoing Health

Misty has a mildly collapsing trachea. She cannot use a collar with a leash; a chest-type harness is required for life to keep her safe and comfortable. She may have an occasional cough if the harness is not clipped in correctly, but it is not an issue otherwise.
