Tycoon

Hi! My name is Tycoon, but sometimes I answer to Tyc, Ty, T, Tytoon, Tytoon Baby, and Ding-Dong! I'm a 1-year-old, 50 lb bundle of joy who had a bit of a rough start. I was left behind in a house and was underweight when I was found. But don't worry, I've made a full recovery and learned a lot of wonderful manners! I'm a star in my training classes, acing commands like sit, stay, lay down, wait, and leave it. I even go to my kennel on command, especially when my foster human turns on "Bluey"!

I have an amazing personality and LOVE toys, especially the tiny ones I sometimes "borrow" from my foster brother. I'll happily entertain myself by zooming around the house with my treasures if no one wants to play. My funny facial expressions are guaranteed to make you laugh, and I love snuggling up in my human's big bed – I'm a great sleeper and only snore a little!

I love my humans fiercely, but sometimes I get nervous in new situations, which can make me seem a little scary at first. It takes me a few meetings to warm up to new people, and I might forget we're friends when you leave the room. I'm doing great with my foster dog brothers, but I need slow introductions to new doggy friends. Sudden movements can startle me, so I'd prefer a home without very young children. I'm working on being gentle with cats, but I do enjoy a good chase and chew! I do well at the vet, though I get nervous and sometimes have accidents – it's okay, it happens! I don't mind being in my kennel when you have company, and while I'm not a "walks in the park" kind of dog, I'd love a backyard to romp in with some doggy pals. Training classes are a great way for me to stay socialized.

I know I might not be the easiest dog, but I promise to bring you more joy than you can imagine. I fill the holes in my foster human's home she didn't know were there, and I'm ready to do the same for my forever family!

I am neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations.

Ideal Home

A home with adults (21+ years old) who understand that I need multiple meetings to build trust. I would love a backyard for playtime and dog friends who are introduced slowly. Sudden movements can trigger me, so I would do best in a home without very young children. I'm working on my cat manners, but I do enjoy chasing and chewing.

Training & Support

I'm a star in my training classes and know several commands. I am house-trained and kennel-trained. I can get nervous in new situations and with new people, requiring patience and repeated introductions.
