Lucy Lou Lou is a soulful 3-year-old Lab mix with a coat that shines like silk and eyes that truly have a way of melting your heart. She has been incredibly resilient through a season of immense change, but after being surrendered by the only family she ever knew, she is currently struggling to understand why her world looks so different. Because she is navigating the heartbreak of losing her home, Lucy is looking for a patient and stable environment where she can finally feel secure and cherished again. While she was previously known to be social with other pets, the stress of this transition has made her much more selective, and we believe she will blossom most successfully as the only pet in the home for now. This will allow her to soak up all the one-on-one devotion she deserves and decompress at her own pace without any added pressure. Despite the recent hurdles, Lucy is fully prepared to start her new chapter on the right paw. She is already spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated, and she is currently going through heartworm treatment. Though she is looking for a quiet home to complete her recovery, she has a wonderful history of being kid-friendly and is a loyal companion at heart. Lucy just needs a family to look into those deep, expressive eyes and tell her she is home for good. - All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process.
- The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
Transporation
Lucy is in a foster home in Tennessee. We provide transport to approved adopters in the Northeast region.
