Chook AKA Chaz JuM

Chook, also known as Chaz JuM, is a charming Bully Breed mix with a velvety red coat and adorable, quirky ears. Weighing in at around 42 pounds, he's not a giant but has a big personality! Chook's journey began when he was rescued from a challenging situation and thankfully found his way to foster parents who happen to be professional dog trainers. This means he's already learning some fantastic skills, like "sit," "down," "place," and how to walk nicely on a leash. He can be a bit shy at first, but once he warms up, he's a playful and energetic companion, known for his happy vocalizations and zoomies in the yard.

Ideal Home

Chook would do well in a home with older teenagers, but he is not suitable for homes with young children due to his mouthy play style. He's a social butterfly with other dogs and would love to have canine companions in his new home, though he can sometimes be a bit pushy, he corrects easily. We haven't tested him with cats.

Ongoing Health

Chook is currently healthy and has no known ongoing health concerns.

Training & Support

Chook has received foundational obedience training and excels at "sit," "down," and "place." His foster parents are also working with him on leash manners. His mouthy play style will require continued guidance and redirection.
