Fospice Birdie (KS)

Birdie is an 8-year-old female English Pointer mix who is currently in fospice care. Before coming to us, Birdie's purpose was to have puppies, and once she was no longer useful for breeding, she was surrendered to a shelter. She joined PRO in September 2022. Birdie absolutely adores playing with tennis balls and going for walks. While she's not a fan of cold weather, she loves soaking up the sun in the yard during the summer months. Sadly, Birdie was recently diagnosed with inoperable mammary tumors and has transitioned to PRO's fospice program. Fospice means that dogs with incurable medical conditions remain in foster care permanently, receiving all the love and care they need until they cross the rainbow bridge. Birdie is deeply cherished in her fospice home and will continue to receive the best possible care for the remainder of her days.

Ideal Home

Birdie enjoys playing with tennis balls and going for walks. She prefers warmer weather and loves basking in the sun.

Ongoing Health

Birdie has been diagnosed with inoperable mammary tumors and is in fospice care. This means she will require ongoing veterinary care for the rest of her life.

Training & Support

Birdie is house-trained.
