Stetson is a charming 3-month-old Hound Mix, weighing in at 27lbs, and he's already neutered! We expect him to grow into a handsome boy around 80lbs. Stetson is looking for a loving home and is eligible to join our foster-to-adopt program.
Ideal Home
Stetson needs an experienced owner who can provide significant structure, daily exercise, and mental stimulation. This means at least 90 minutes of movement in the morning, plus potty breaks and brain games throughout the day. An active lifestyle and the ability to adapt to a growing puppy's evolving needs are essential. We strongly recommend professional, rewards-based training. Stetson can be a bit mouthy and rambunctious, so homes with children should be 8 years and up, and all interactions will require adult supervision.
Ongoing Health
Stetson is currently healthy. He is up-to-date on his DHPP and Bordetella vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and has been treated with dewormer. Owners will need to complete his DHPP vaccine series and administer the Rabies vaccine at 16 weeks.
Training & Support
Stetson is working on potty training and will need patience, consistency, and clean-up. He is also a puppy and is very mouthy, which is a normal phase for exploration and teething. Proper training, outlets, and socialization are key to managing this. Most puppies experience some separation anxiety as they learn to self-soothe, so consistent training for alone time is crucial. He will also need to learn leash manners. While he may not be formally crate trained, many adopters find crate training beneficial for safety and independence. He is learning to socialize with dogs and cats, but this requires careful guidance from his adopter.
