Sage Cowan

Sage Cowan is a beautiful shepherd mix, likely with a touch of husky given her striking ice-blue eyes and boundless energy! This girl is always on the move, exploring everything with her nose and absolutely adores water, happily splashing in any pond, puddle, or ditch she encounters. Sage is very people-oriented and walks beautifully on a leash, readily responding to commands. When playing in the yard, she loves a good game of keep-away with her humans and enjoys wrestling with active, male canine companions. She's proven to be a wonderful ambassador, calmly observing and greeting everyone she meets at local rescue events, making her the life of the party with her friendly demeanor and ability to relax on leash. She's vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on prevention, ready for her forever home!

Ideal Home

Sage would thrive in an active home with a large yard, farm, or ranch where she can get plenty of daily exercise.

Ongoing Health

Sage was treated for heartworms and is now on prevention. She previously had injuries from glass cuts on her paw, which have healed.

Training & Support

Sage is attentive to people and listens for commands. She enjoys playing keep-away during off-leash play. She is great with active, male dogs and has good manners in public.

Sage is currently being fostered in Texas. Transportation options are available to the PNW (WA, UT, ID), Midwest (MN, WI, MI, OH, IL, IN), and select New England States (NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT). Canadian adopters will need to meet at a US location.
