Scout Sterling is a handsome, approximately 2-year-old boy with soulful eyes and a gentle heart. He’s a bit of a wallflower and isn't the dog who will immediately jump into your lap or demand attention. Instead, he’s the kind of dog who will quietly observe, learn, and slowly decide that you're his person. Scout was rescued from a San Antonio kill shelter and, like many survivors, he carries a few emotional scars. He's currently in boarding with caring volunteers who are helping him build confidence and learn to trust, taking small steps forward each day. The bond you build with a dog like Scout, who blossoms with kindness and patience, is truly special. He's looking for a family willing to give him the time to settle in, decompress, and discover what it means to belong.
