At just 2 years old, this sweet Lab mix girl Lola has already overcome so much, yet she remains one of the sweetest and most gentle dogs you could ever meet. Rescued from a high-kill shelter in Houston alongside her newborn puppies, Lola showed nothing but trust and kindness toward everyone around her, even while caring for her babies. Unfortunately, her puppies were quickly taken away, and Lola found herself at risk of euthanasia. But Lola had quickly become a staff favorite thanks to her calm, loving nature and incredibly easygoing personality, so she found help to get out of the shelter.
Lola's foster family described her as “the best dog in the universe” and it’s easy to see why. She is quiet, well-mannered, affectionate, and wonderfully easy to handle. Lola settles beautifully into home life and simply enjoys being near her people. She currently lives with another dog and young toddler children, and she does wonderfully with both. Lola’s fosters used to leave her free-roam with their toddlers, and she was best friends with their medium-sized pup. However, they discovered that Lola did not do well with very tiny animals. She is currently living in boarding, where the staff adore her and consider her an extremely smart and obedient pup who needs to find her person. Lola weighs around 45 pounds, making her the perfect medium-sized companion. She has a calm and gentle presence that would fit beautifully into almost any home, whether you are looking for a family dog, a loyal companion, or an easygoing best friend.
