Hachi

Meet Hachi! This resilient 2-year-old, 50-pound bundle of love was rescued from a hoarding situation and spent most of his life in an outdoor kennel. Despite his past, Hachi's heart remained soft, and he's now a total love bug eager to experience the joys of a loving home. He greets life with a wagging tail and a gentle spirit, showering everyone he meets with affection. Hachi is wonderful with kids and is a true "people person" who has never met a stranger. He cherishes simple things like belly rubs, a cozy bed, and quality family time. Before his rescue, he'd never even had a dog bed, sleeping instead on wooden slats, but you'd never know it now given his sweet disposition.

Ideal Home

Hachi dreams of a home where he's included, cherished, and loved. He's a medium-energy boy who enjoys adventures but is equally happy to relax at home with his humans. He does best with slow introductions to other dogs and tends to thrive with confident canine companions.

Ongoing Health

Hachi is still working on gaining weight after years of being underfed. He's currently around 50 pounds and his ideal weight is closer to 60 pounds.

Training & Support

Hachi is crate trained and potty trained. He tends to do better with confident dogs; with more timid ones, he can sometimes try to assert himself as the "big tough guy."
