Thelma is a sweet and easygoing 9-month-old girl weighing around 26 pounds. Thelma and her sister, Louise, came to us after kind neighbors stepped in to help them following a heartbreaking situation where one of their siblings was hit by a car. Prior to coming into rescue, the girls had been living in a garage while waiting for a safe place to go. Despite the uncertainty in her young life, Thelma has remained a gentle, friendly girl with a happy spirit. She gets along well with other dogs, seems like she would do great with children, and has an easygoing personality that makes her simple to handle and enjoyable to be around. She walks nicely on leash and is the kind of dog who settles in beside you and just wants to be part of your day. Thelma has shown some really promising habits already. She did well going outside to potty, although storms occasionally interrupted her confidence. With patience, routine, and the consistency that comes with becoming a true indoor family member, this is something that can easily continue improving. Thelma is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and ready to start the next chapter of her life. She's looking for a family that will continue showing her the comforts of home and give her the love she deserves.
