Penny is a fun-loving, affectionate, and outgoing girl who thrives in an environment where she can stay active, engaged, and close to her people. She’s curious, social, and always on the lookout for her next adventure or a cozy cuddle. Penny has a lot of love to give, and once she feels safe and understood, she will blossom into a confident, loyal, and deeply devoted companion.
Ideal Home
Penny would do best in a home with older teens or adults who understand dog behavior and can help channel her energy positively. A cat-free home is recommended due to her prey-driven behavior outdoors. She enjoys the company of other medium-to-large dogs who match her playful energy and can confidently set healthy boundaries. Her ideal home will provide structure, patience, and understanding, and won't expect perfection immediately.

Training & Support
Penny is fully house-trained and learning to be more comfortable with separation. While not yet crate-trained, she prefers to be close to her people and may whine or bark when separated, stemming from her deep bond with her humans. She can be trusted loose in the house when items are put away, though she may chew on dog beds when bored. Penny can come on a little strong during play with other dogs and may be protective of her space and high-value items around other dogs. These behaviors are manageable with clear boundaries, respectful management, and positive guidance. Leash walks are a favorite, and she settles in with guidance, loving consistent mental and physical outlets for her energy.
