About Krink

Hi, my name is Krink, but my foster parents call me Link! I absolutely love life and everything that comes with it! I enjoy the company of all humans and dogs, and I tend to give cats the cold shoulder. Walks, especially through the woods, are a favorite pastime, as are delicious meals, receiving belly rubs, engaging in vigorous play, and going for car rides. My foster mom calls me "exhausting," but I think that just means I'm really fun! I'm a shadow to my foster parents, following them everywhere, and I really dislike being left behind if there's an adventure to be had.

I'm a 2-year-old, 50-pound bundle of energy. I'm neutered and current on all my vaccinations. Unfortunately, I had an incident with my right knee that required surgery on April 8, 2026. I wasn't a fan of the vet! I was found as a stray in Georgia and have tested negative for heartworms. I've been diligently taking flea and tick medication, as well as heartworm preventative. I'm currently being fostered in Maine. I would be a fantastic companion for a home with other animal siblings or as the sole furry resident.

Ideal Home

I thrive in an environment with plenty of activity! My play style is energetic and I can be quite opinionated, which is typical of cattle dogs. I'm learning to accept human leadership, though I don't always love it.

Ongoing Health

I'm recovering well from my knee surgery and continue to need to take it easy on my operated leg. Soon, I'll be ready to conquer the Appalachian Trail or whatever other adventures await! I've also been on flea and tick medication and heartworm preventative.

Training & Support

I am housebroken and crate trained. I'm great with other dogs and good with cats. I'm learning to allow humans to be the alpha, but I'm not always happy about it.
