Butterscotch is a sweet, wrinkly, and cuddly 3-year-old girl who weighs around 55 lbs. We believe she's a Beagle/Lab mix, but one thing is for sure: she's 100% lovable! Butterscotch is a people-oriented dog who quickly warms up to new friends and loves to be close to her humans. She's a big cuddler, often following her foster mom around like a shadow and even sleeping at the head of the bed. Her calm presence is comforting, and she'll happily claim your lap if given the chance – she clearly thinks she's a lap dog!
When she's not snuggling, Butterscotch enjoys spending time outdoors, wandering in the yard, and soaking up the sun. She also enjoys short bursts of zoomies with other dogs before settling down. While she's not a big toy player, she's content with a good chew stick. She's lived happily with dogs of various ages and sizes and enjoys their company but is also perfectly happy being the only dog. However, cats are a bit too exciting for her, so a cat-free home is recommended. Butterscotch may take a couple of weeks to decompress in a new environment, but once she settles in, she becomes a devoted shadow.
Ideal Home
Butterscotch would do well in either a house with a yard or an apartment, but she would absolutely love having a backyard to explore. A cat-free home is recommended.

Transportation
Butterscotch is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
