Rusty is a handsome 1-year-old Husky/Aussie mix with a heart as big as his smile. After being rescued from a euthanasia list, he's been given a second chance, and now he's looking for the forever family he deserves. Rusty is the perfect blend of playful and affectionate. He loves spending time outdoors, especially with a rope toy, but once he's burned off some energy, he's happiest snuggled up next to his favorite people. Being with his humans is his favorite place to be, and he's always ready for cuddles or just to hang out by your side. He's a smart boy who enjoys learning. Rusty already knows "sit" and "come," and he's quickly mastering "stay" and "lay down." He's potty trained, walks well on a leash, enjoys car rides, and settles nicely in his kennel at night. He'll let you know if someone is around by barking a bit in the backyard, but he's not an excessive barker. Rusty has a loyal, loving personality and would make an amazing companion for a family seeking a best friend. Whether it's playing in the yard, going on adventures, or relaxing together after a long day, he's ready to be part of it all. He's already overcome so much in his young life, and now all he needs is someone to show him what it truly means to be loved.
