Moose

Moose is a 9-month-old shepsky with striking blue eyes and a personality as big as his heart! He’s a fun-loving, energetic boy who is always ready for an adventure with his favorite people. Moose is affectionate and loves to be close to his humans, making him a wonderful companion for both relaxing at home and heading out for an adventure. He walks nicely on a leash and would thrive with an active family. Moose is very food-motivated and eager to please, making him a joy to train. He beams with pride when he's told he's a "good boy"!

Ideal Home

Moose would do well as an only dog where he can soak up all the attention, but he is also dog-friendly and gets along well with other animals. He is looking for an active family who understands he is still a young dog learning about the world. A fully fenced yard is a must; electric or underground fences are not accepted.

Ongoing Health

Moose is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He is heartworm negative and kept on heartworm and flea preventatives.

Training & Support

Like many young dogs, Moose will thrive with continued training and guidance to help him build good habits. He currently attends doggie daycare and is loved by everyone. Because his foster parents work long hours, he would greatly benefit from a home where someone is present more often, such as a work-from-home or stay-at-home parent, to help him with housebreaking. With his intelligence and eagerness to please, he will learn very quickly. Guidance and appropriate management around food and toys when interacting with other dogs will help him succeed.

Moose is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. Transportation to other states can be arranged if it's the best home for him.
