Dottie is a 4-year-old, 62-pound bundle of love and fun! She's a sweet and loyal companion who will fill your life with laughter and cuddles. Dottie has a goofy personality and a heart of gold, always eager to please and be by your side. Her foster mom describes her as a major cuddle bug who also loves to play, especially with rope toys, stuffies, and a good game of tug-o-war. She's incredibly intelligent and food-motivated, which makes training a breeze – she picks up new things super quickly!
Ideal Home
Dottie would thrive in a moderately active home where she can enjoy at least one good walk or play session a day. She’s dog-friendly and has lived happily with other dogs, though she prefers calmer environments with one or two companions, especially larger dogs. She can get overstimulated in large groups. Alternatively, she would also be content as the only pet, showering you with all her affection. Dottie is also cat-friendly and lives with cats in her foster home, mostly leaving them to their own devices unless they initiate play. Due to past experiences, Dottie would do best in a home without young males or boys. She is absolutely wonderful with women and adult men.
Ongoing Health
Dottie is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed, and is all set for her new adventure!
Training & Support
Dottie is fully potty trained and a pro at doing her business outside. She's also crate trained and will readily go into her kennel for comfort, even settling well when left to free roam. While she might whine a bit initially when left alone, she doesn't destruct anything and eventually calms down. When she sees other dogs on walks, she can pull a bit and may bark, but she walks calmly otherwise.
